HEALTH AND SAFETY:

Peter Vandersluis is TRP Construction's certified Health and Safety Coordinator through the WSIB and Construction Safety Association of Ontario. TRP has a thorough Health & Safety Program in place and were audited by WSIB in 2003/2004 and scored 100%.

Both Project Managers for TRP Construction are certified Health & Safety Coordinators (Matt Postma & Peter Vandersluis). The following TRP Construction Site Superintendents are trained by the CSAO on the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its legislations: Carel Vandersluis, Garth Spanninga, David Koning.

All TRP Construction team members are trained annually to meet provincial regulations for WHMIS, Fall Protection and every 3 years for First Aid. All team members participate in the annual review of the Occupational Health & Safety Act (R.S.O. 1990 C. 01) and its regulations. All team members must agree to the Health & Safety Program and sign the agreement. TRP Construction has regular site safety check inspections including hazard analysis and weekly tool box talks.

Trades are to comply with TRP Construction’s Health & Safety Policy Statement & Program, sign the agreement and supply to TRP Construction their Health & Safety Policy & Programme before project start.

TRP Construction is a member of the Hamilton Halton Construction Health & Safety Group from 2000 - 2008. In addition, TRP Construction is a member of the CSAO’s Veteran’s Health & Safety Group from 2006 - 2008. TRP Construction has been honoured for outstanding safety performance and is the recipient of the Ontario General Contractors Association Safety Achievement Award for maintaining Zero Lost Time Injuries for the period 2004–2010.

TRP Construction confirms that all employees, executives, and owners are covered by the WSIB and that no exemptions apply.

All Health and Safety Policies are adhered to for the duration of the project.
